The drivers progress down these two rows of cards that form two lanes

The starting podium
Set up h2
Separate the face cards from the deck.
Deal each player a Jack (J), this is your driver! Decide their name!
Deal each player the matching suit King (K) and Queen (Q), these are your booster cards!
Shuffle in the two Jokers, split the deck evenly, and lay the cards facedown in two parallel columns of 21 cards each, 2 and-a-bit card-widths apart. All column cards should overlap each other by about 2cm (1") in long columns. This is the raceway!
Assemble the crowd - Flip the first 2 cards from the raceway towards the drivers. If the suit matches your driver, place your driver face up at the beginning of the raceway in either lane, the crowd is on your side!
- If there are any Jokers in the crowd, do not play their bonus (see Special Cards for more information).
The crowd grows - Flip the next 2 cards over and repeat for the next drivers.
- If one suit is flipped 3 or 4 times, you’re the fan favourite! Take one of these cards and add it to your hand - this is your Mega Fan!
- If two suits are flipped after a double, the highest card chooses position first.
Rules h2
Flip the first two cards over, determine which side was higher. Ace is low.
- Those who correctly guessed gain +1 movement (see below)
- Those who incorrectly guess gain +0 movement
Suit boosts
- If the suit of either cards that were flipped matched your driver, gain +1 movement, the lowest number between these suits moves first.
- If both cards match, gain +2 movement!
- If +3 movement was gained this turn (both cards are your drivers suit + you correctly guessed the lane), exclaim “OK OK OK! JODHPUR!” and zoom through the streets for your +3 movement.
Draws
- If both flipped cards were the same number, everybody gets +1 movement bonus, then add the suit bonus.
Movement h2
There are 4 drivers, but only 2 lanes. The card underneath is (ever-so-slightly) in front.
Use your movement points gained from the flip phase to either move forward 1 space, overtake, or change lane (slide across). You may spend your movement points to do any of the following:
Move forward by moving and tucking your driver on an angle (45°) under the amount of cards down the lane equal to your movement gained in the flip step. Each step forward is 1 movement. You may only move forward if there is no one blocking your way.
Overtake by swapping your card in front of a level driver. You may only overtake if you are on the same space to another driver in the same lane. Overtaking uses 1 movement.
Change Lanes by sliding your driver across. If there is someone in the lane you are changing to, slide your card on top of theirs, 2cm behind - they are now in front. Changing lanes uses 1 movement.
- If no one is in the equal space to you in the other lane, you can move freely across without dropping a position.
Reset h2
If any drivers have the raceway and crowd ‘catch up’ to them, rotate these drivers back to vertical (0°) and slide back into their lane, freeing the next cards to be flipped. Booster cards
You may play your boost cards once per game - after resolving an entire flip sequence and voting on the next pair of cards, but before flipping them. Play them face up at the top of the track.
Queen - A +2 movement boost, forwards only, no changing lanes. Multiple players may play their Queen in one turn, the first to exclaim “Make way! Make way!” will play theirs first.
King - Swap your current polling position with an equal driver, also gain +1 movement forwards. Multiple players may play their King in one turn, the first to exclaim “Order! Order!” executes their moves first. If behind multiple drivers in the same space, you may overtake them all and still gain your +1 movement.
The Mega Fan - A +1 movement boost. Can be used to move forward, overtake, change lane or repair.
Special Cards h2
Optional rules h3
Joker - When a Joker is flipped, this trumps all other numbers, drivers in this lane boost forward 1 space immediately, the other lane has 2 cards removed. Then apply the suit boost.
Ace - A breakdown! Oh no, your rickshaw has broken, ’tap’ your card by rotating it 90degrees. You must use one movement to fix your rickshaw in the following turns, you cannot change lane or move forward until it is fixed. No one else can get past until it’s fixed! You may also use either booster cards to fix your rickshaw.
History h2
Jodhpur, the “Blue City,” is a historic city in Rajasthan, India, famed for its blue-painted buildings, the Mehrangarh Fort, and its location in the Thar Desert. The Old City has winding, narrow streets that regular cars cannot access. At the city gates, you must alight from your ride if in a car and walk on foot or jump into a rickshaw.
